RoMan’s Blood Drive a Success
April 11, 2016
In March, RoMan completed its latest blood drive. By the standards of the Michigan Blood Drive Program, it was another success. In an email sent to RoMan, Amy Smith, Michigan Blood Program Consultant, said.
“I’m emailing to thank you on behalf of all your support for the local blood supply. Patients can’t thank you directly, but without businesses exactly like yours, who go above and beyond the call of duty, they wouldn’t have the blood they need each day (which is an average of 400 units). We greatly appreciate your support at RoMan. Not only do you recruit a larger percentage of your workforce for your drives, you do so consistently. As you can imagine, that helps us tremendously with our inventory planning. Here are some fun stats:”
- Units of blood collected at RoMan in 2015: 70
- Units of blood collected at RoMan since you began hosting drives: 1,078
- Potential lives saved: 3,234
Thank you to all who participated for your lifesaving impact on our community! Whether you donated, attempted to donate or helped Michigan Blood with their equipment! Congratulations to Kendall Ymker—RoMan Engineer Manager for achieving the six-gallon donation level!
Please consider donating during the June 6, blood drive right here at RoMan!
