Control Types for Transformer Driven Loads

RoMan Manufacturing is dedicated to technical excellence and we are presenting an overview of control topologies used in transformer driven loads, specifically for resistance heating applications. The control types covered in this presentation include: Saturable Reactor’s, SCR’s, and IGBT’s. This is presented by Stanley Rutkowski, a Senior Applications Engineer at RoMan Manufacturing. As a Senior Applications Engineer, Stanley Rutkowski is responsible for the development of RoMan’s furnace and glass product application programs. Over his 29-year career at RoMan he served in various roles, including R&D and Design Engineering. Stanley is a member of the AWS and ACerS. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from GMI Engineering & Management Institute.
