GRAND RAPIDS, MI, June 15, 2023.

The Board of Directors of RoMan Manufacturing announced today the appointment of
Nelson Sanchez as RoMan’s new CEO, effective immediately. Sanchez is the first non-family member to hold the CEO office at the family-owned company.

Sanchez joined RoMan as Chief Financial Officer in 2013, became Chief Operating Officer in 2016, and assumed RoMan’s presidency in January 2023.

“As COO and President, Nelson has guided RoMan through the most expansive growth trajectory in company history,” said Robert Roth, retiring RoMan CEO and now the company’s Board Chair. “The Board’s continued confidence in Nelson has been recognized, and now it is our turn to acknowledge his efforts by elevating him to this position,” added Roth.

Commenting on his new role at RoMan, Sanchez said, “My job is to oversee our vision-based strategic growth plans, which call for us to be the global brand of choice for industrial power conversion solutions. Achieving this objective will continue to expand RoMan’s footprint as we serve thousands of clients worldwide,”

Before joining RoMan Manufacturing, Sanchez held executive positions in finance, marketing, and management in various companies, including Deloitte, Windquest Companies, Ridgeview Industries, and Kaydon Corporation.

Sanchez serves on the Board of Directors of the Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce Foundation as Board Chair and on the Holland Home Board of Directors as Vice-Chair. He is also a member of the board of directors of Mercantile Bank, the third-largest Michigan-based banking institution. Previously he chaired the Board of Directors of the Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce and the West Michigan Alzheimer’s Association.  Sanchez is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants.
