Nelson Sanchez Named President of RoMan Manufacturing, Inc.

GRAND RAPIDS, MI, January 3, 2023.

Robert Roth, President, and CEO of RoMan Manufacturing announced today the appointment of Nelson Sanchez as RoMan’s new President effective January 1, 2023. Sanchez is the first non-family member to hold the office of president at the family-owned company founded by Dietrich Roth and Robert Hofman in 1980.

Sanchez joined RoMan as Chief Financial Officer in 2013 and became Chief Operating Officer in 2016. In the latter role, he was responsible for the corporate day-to-day oversight of RoMan’s, finance, marketing, HR, IT, purchasing, and manufacturing functions.

“As RoMan’s COO Nelson has proven he is the right person at the right time to take over the presidency of the company. His experience in manufacturing is multifaceted and he brings a keen strategic mind and disciplined management approach to the position,” said Roth. “Nelson has played a key role in the continued growth of our company and believes in RoMan’s strategic vision; ‘To be the global brand of choice for Industrial Power Conversion Solutions.’ Finally,” Roth added, “I trust him, the Hofman and Roth families trust him, and our board of directors trust him.”

During his first remarks as President of RoMan to the company’s staff, Sanchez said, “I am honored and humbled that the Roth and Hofman families, as well as the RoMan board of directors, have expressed their confidence in me to carry on the good work started by Dietrich Roth and Robert Hofman. My commitment to RoMan,” he added, “is to honor the past and the culture it represents while helping shape a future where our global brand will continue to expand its footprint as we serve thousands of clients worldwide.”
Before joining RoMan Manufacturing, Sanchez held executive positions in finance, marketing, and management in various companies including Deloitte, Windquest Companies, Ridgeview Industries, and Kaydon Corporation.

Sanchez presently serves on the Board of Directors of the Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce Foundation as Board Chairperson, and on the Holland Home Board of Directors as Vice-Chair. He is also a member of the board of directors of Mercantile Bank, the third-largest Michigan-based banking institution. Previously he chaired the Board of Directors of the Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce and of the West Michigan Alzheimer’s Association.  Sanchez is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants.
